AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State struggled to solve winds with gusts near 45 mph and the hot hitting of Oklahoma State as the Cyclones fell, 14-0, in its Big 12 home opener.

The Cowgirls scored four in the first after a routine pop fly to right field got caught up in the wind and dropped to score two runs. OSU would go on to score two more and jump out to a 4-0 lead after one. They added two more in the second, three in the fourth and five in the fifth to get the win.
Totte finished 4-for-4 with six runs batted in while Krystle Sanchez, Kim Kaye and Shianne Cruce each drove in a pair of runs.
Alyssa Ransom (7-9) was dealt the loss, allowing six runs, only two of which were earned in two innings.
