The Cyclones put forth a solid effort at the Drake Relays last weekend that was highlighted by a school-record breaking performance in the shuttle hurdle relay. This weekend junior Megan Nielsen will represent the hurdle squad, running the 100-meter hurdles. Nielsen's time in the event has plummeted 1.6 seconds since the start of the outdoor season.
ISU will bring all of its field competitors to the Nebraska Invitational. Agata Kosuda will look to hit the regional qualifying mark in the triple jump. Kosuda has yet to record a mark in the event but holds the school record with a jump of 44-11 ?. Kosuda will be joined by teammate Priya Hoze, who is one of ISU's most improved athletes this season. Hoze will also compete in the long jump. Competing along side Kosuda and Hoze will be sophomore transfer Angie Lageschulte.
High jumpers Leigh Wagner and Christina Tim will test their vertical leap this weekend. Wagner will be traveling to her hometown once again in hopes of hitting a regional qualifying mark. Sophomore Amy Waggoner will round out the field competitors, throwing the shot put.
Freshman Kim Brown and junior Dana Peters will represent the distance runners this weekend, running in the 1,500-meter run. Sophomore Leia Jackson will have her hands full, competing in the 400, 200 and 100-meter dashes.
