The Cyclones (8-4, 2-0 Big 12) hit .287 while holding Texas A&M (10-2, 0-2) to a season-low .168 hitting percentage en route to their second win over a ranked team this season. The Cyclones also upended then 21st-ranked

“Mary (Bisenius) has been really impressive as of late,” added Johnson. “She has really stuck with it and has earned her spot on the team with hard work and commitment.”
The Cyclones were equally impressive on defense as Amy Vos matched libero Ashley Mass with a career-high 16 digs in the win. Laura Cady also added double-figure digs with 11. The Cyclones out blocked the Aggies, nine to eight, getting a solo block and three block assists from setter Kaylee Manns, who also had 53 assists, nine digs and five kills in the match. Malcom, who entered the week tied for third in the nation in blocks, finished with a solo block and four block assists.
Texas A&M was paced by Sarah Ammerman, who was the only Aggie to reach double-figure kills with 12. Ammerman also had a team-high 12 digs in the loss.
Boeve had eight kills as
Texas A&M led 11-9 in the second game on a kill by Jillian Phillips, but the Cyclones got hot offensively and finished the game hitting .325 to pick up the 30-27 win and head into intermission with the 2-0 lead. The teams were tied at 24 but kills by Diane Kieger and Boeve pushed the Cyclone lead to 26-24.
The Cyclones raced out to a 17-7 lead on a kill by Bisenius and cruised to a 30-23 win, with Lauren Cummings punctuating the victory, ISU's third straight over Texas A&M dating back to last season, with a kill.
The Cyclones will be back in action on Wednesday evening as they take to the road to face
