Messiah has a clean slate to talk all things related to his life, academics, Cyclone football and other daily hurdles of being a Division I student-athlete.

The great thing about our sport is that we have another chance this weekend to go out and play the game we love. Anything can happen any given Saturday, which is why we will always practice hard and the coaches will spend many hours into the night each week, preparing us to be in the best position to win a football game. So Cyclone fans, I assure you that even though things don't seem to be going our way, we appreciate you supporting us week in and week out. Our
As far as away games go, I love them. The whole process of flights, different meetings and things like that is something that brings a whole new atmosphere to our business trip. Traveling on the road is a great experience, especially when you know that later, you are going to be playing a great team like Oklahoma State.
For instance, instead of us meeting in the afternoon then heading to Des Moines to stay in our hotel on Friday, we'll usually meet earlier in the morning, go through our walk-throughs, then head to the Des Moines Airport to catch a flight to our destination. After the flight, we take our buses to the hotel that we'll stay at for the weekend. Coach Chizik promises us the best hotels in the area for us because he says that since we prepare first-class, we should travel first-class.
Once we arrive at the hotel, we'll head to dinner and then get started on our usual meetings. The fact that we're at a new hotel makes the trip more enjoyable, but we have to keep in mind that we are there for a reason and we have to consider it a business trip.
Other than that Cyclone fans, if you can't make the trip down to Boone Pickens Stadium in Oklahoma, I hope that you'll tune in on ABC at 2:30 p.m. to watch us play.! They are a very talented team so it should be very exciting! Until next time, GO CYCLONES!
