AMES, Iowa ? Saturday's noon Iowa State spring scrimmage in Jack Trice Stadium will follow a morning of activity in the Bergstrom Athletic Training Facility. The annual Letterwinner's “Skills Clinic” for children ages five to 14 will start with registration at 7:30 a.m. The clinic will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 9:30 a.m. A football autograph session follows immediately at 9:30 a.m. and will last until 10:30 a.m.
Because of construction in the west side of Jack Trice Stadium, fans must watch the spring scrimmage from the stadium's east side. Admission is free. Only Gate 1 will be open to the general public for entering the stadium.
The cost of the Skills Clinic is $30. Participants receive 90 minutes of expert instruction from Cyclone coaches and student-athletes, a clinic t-shirt and a concessions voucher for the spring scrimmage. Participants will meet and work with the Iowa State coaching staff, learn valuable skills and techniques and interact with current Iowa State football players.
The 2008 Iowa State football poster will be available to fans who attend the autograph session. The ISU athletics department asks that fans refrain from taking pictures during the autograph session, and limit themselves to one item signed per person.
There will be a Gridiron Club Pre-Game Tailgate in the East 85 Jacobson Building Lot.
