BOULDER, Colo. ? Colorado outscored Iowa State 10-3 in the final four minutes of the game en route to a 55-49 win Tuesday night in Boulder, Colo. ISU shot 54.5 percent in the first half, but faltered down the stretch.
The loss drops ISU to 12-8 overall and 1-4 in league play.

The first half went back and forth with a total of eight lead changes and 10 ties. ISU's Craig Brackins scored nine points in the early going to help the Cyclones take a 21-19 lead with 5:20 left before intermission.
The Buffs looked to have control at the half after Casey Crawford buried a trey from the top of the key to give CU a 26-23 lead with just 0:49 seconds remaining before intermission. However, Bryan Petersen quickly answered with a 3-pointer to tie the game and then Diante Garrett got a steal and lay-up in the closing seconds to put ISU out in front 28-26 at the break.
Brackins had 11 first-half points for the Cyclones.
The Cyclones had chances to break the game open in the opening minutes of the second half, as CU made just 1-of-12 from the field to start the second period. ISU clung to a 37-34 lead with 11:50 remaining, as Brackins had four points to keep ISU on top.
ISU then went cold to let the Buffs take the lead. The Cyclones failed to make a field goal during a nine-minute stretch, as CU grabbed its first lead of the second half with 7:38 left when Austin Dufault knocked down a trey to make it 41-38 in favor of the Buffs.
ISU finally ended the drought with a Brackins score down low and the Cyclone big man followed with three more baskets to move ISU ahead 46-45 with under four minutes in the game.
CU then scored seven-straight points, capped off by a Cory Higgins drive and lay-in to propel the Buffs to a 52-46 lead with under two minutes remaining. CU iced the game by making its free-throws down the stretch.
ISU committed 15 turnovers in the game and had just two players make a field goal in the second half (Brackins; Lucca Staiger). Brackins finished the game with his 11th 20-point game of the season, recording 24 points and nine boards. Staiger tallied six points, making a 3-pointer in his 14th consecutive game.
It marks the first time in the Greg McDermott era where ISU lost when holding an opponent to under 60 points (25-1).
ISU is back in action on Saturday, playing host to Oklahoma at 12:45 p.m.
