? The Iowa State soccer team starts a six-match road trip when it travels to Charleston, Ill. Friday for a 5 p.m. match with Eastern Illinois. The Cyclones then head to Macomb, Ill. for a 1 p.m. game with Western Illinois Sunday.
? ISU and Eastern Illinois have squared off on one occasion, a 2-0 EIU win on Sept. 15, 1996 in Ames.
? Sunday's match with Western Illinois will mark the first time the two programs have met.

Woelfel Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week
? Iowa State freshman midfielder Amanda Woelfel was named the Big 12 Conference Newcomer of Week after matches on Sept. 4 and 6.
? Woelfel scored the game-winning goal against No. 20 DePaul on Sept. 4. The Omaha, Neb., native also added an insurance goal for the Cyclones in the victory.
Slaying a Top-20 Team
? Iowa State knocked off No. 20 DePaul Friday, 3-1. It marked the first time the Cyclones downed a nationally ranked foe since a 1-0 overtime win over No. 16 Missouri on Oct. 26, 2007.
Nimtz Returns in Fine Form
? Senior forward Amanda Nimtz made her first appearance of the season in Friday's 3-1 win over No. 20 DePaul after having corrective ankle surgery in the offseason. Nimtz made her impact felt in Sunday's match against Green Bay when she fired the game-winning goal with 4:37 remaining in the match.
