ISU Legacy, Waldon, To Join Soccer Squad in 2010

AMES, Iowa?Mackenzie Waldon, the daughter of 1979 Cyclone All-American and Big 8 Conference champion wrestler Tom Waldon, will be a member of the Iowa State soccer team in 2010.
Waldon, a defender, has lettered four times in high school and currently plays for J.L. Mann Academy in Greenville, S.C. for coach Gwynne Armstrong. Waldon played on the state semifinalist squad and earned all-region honors in 2008. Waldon was also named her team's defensive MVP in 2008. Waldon played for the South Carolina Olympic Development (ODP) team in 2009 and is a member of the CESA club for coach Chris Nichols.
In addition to her father, Waldon's mother (Melanie), grandfather (Melvin), aunt (Lisa Hill) and uncle (Kevin Hill) attended Iowa State.
