AMES, Iowa - The 13th-ranked Cyclones (21-4, 12-2 Big 12) hit the road once more during the regular season on Saturday, traveling to Waco, Texas to play Baylor (18-12, 5-9).
Iowa State enters Saturday's match on a four-match winning streak and coming off a sweep of Kansas State on Wednesday. Senior Carly Jenson had her best offensive career match against the Wildcats, hitting .519 with 16 kills, the first time the Omaha, Neb. native has hit over .500 as a Cyclone.
Sophomore middle blocker Tenisha Matlock continues to challenge opponents at the net, collecting a solo block and three block assists on Wednesday for her ninth-straight four-block performance.
In the first match of the season against Baylor, Jenson, Matlock and Hannah Willms each had eight kills to lead Iowa State to the 3-0 victory. Matlock posted a career-high eight block assists in the match as the Cyclones recorded 13 blocks for the first time since the 2009 season.
The Bears rely heavily on Brianna Tolbert who leads the team in hitting (.336), kills per set (3.02) and blocks per set (0.84). Tolbert is the only Baylor player to average more than 3.00 kills per set this season and the second-ranked player on the team in hitting is Torri Campbell with an average of .234.
Saturday's match is slated for a 2 p.m. first serve.

- The No. 13 Cyclones take their four-match winning streak on the road Saturday, traveling to Baylor for a 2 p.m. CDT match on Saturday.
- Iowa State's win over Kansas State completed the fourth-straight season sweep of the Wildcats. KSU's last win over Iowa State was Oct. 27, 2007 in Manhattan when the Wildcats were ranked 15th.
- The win also assures the Cyclones of no regular-season losing streak longer than two matches for the season (UNI, Nebraska). It is the third-consecutive year the Cyclones have not lost more than two matches back-to-back and the ninth time in program history that losing streaks have been limited to two matches.
- Iowa State finishes the season 7-0 on Wednesdays.
- Libero Kristen Hahn has collected 486 digs this season, seventh most all-time at Iowa State. Hahn is only the third player in Iowa State history to record more than 485 digs in a single season behind Ashley Mass and Steph McCannon who hold the top six single-season dig spots in the Iowa State record books.
- Senior Carly Jenson notched her second-straight double-double on Wednesday and her fifth-straight match with more than 10 kills. Jenson finished with 16 kills and 14 digs.
- Overall this season, Iowa State is averaging 14.11 kills per set, led by Jenson's 3.99 kills per set. The Cyclones are the only Big 12 team with over 14.00 kills per set this season.
- In conference play, the Cyclones are the only team with more than 18.00 digs per set with an averge of 18.08.
- If the squad wins out, it will be the first time since 2006 that Iowa State has had identical home and road records in conference play. The 2006 team was 6-4 home and away, the 2011 Cyclones would be 7-1 in both categories.
- K-State's Kaitlynn Pelger entered Wednesday's match averaging a league-best 4.19 kills per set this season but, as she did against Iowa State in Manhattan, Pelger managed only nine kills.
- Kathleen Ludwig also recorded nine kills in the match to tie Pelger with the team's lead.
- The Cyclones are tops in the league in opponent hitting percentage (.161), kills (14.67) and aces (1.35) per set during the conference slate this season.
- Jenson ranks second in both kills per set and points per set against Big 12 teams this season with respective averages of 4.19 and 4.84.
- Tenisha Matlock has posted at least four blocks in each of Iowa State's last nine matches and sits second in the Big 12 in blocks per set against conference rivals with an average of 1.31 blocks per set.
- Jamie Straube (.360), Kelsey Petersen (.329) and Matlock (.316) are among the top 10 hitters in the Big 12 during league play. Texas is the only other conference team with three players in the top 10 in hitting.
- Straube is the only Big 12 player this season with four or more aces in two conference matches. The junior leads the conference with 0.40 aces per set this season.
- Caitlin Mahoney is one of two league players to have five aces in a match, reaching the feat in the season-opener against Cincinnati.
- Hahn remains the only Big 12 player to post 35 digs in a match this season (at North Dakota State).
Streaks and Trends
- Iowa State opponents have hit over .300 just 15 times in 217 matches under Johnson-Lynch.
- Iowa State went 12-1 in three set matches in 2010. Under Johnson-Lynch, Iowa State is 87-32 in three set matches.
- This year the Cyclones are 12-3 in three-set matches, losing at No. 15, UNI, No. 10 Nebraska and No. 9 Texas.
- In true Johnson-Lynch fashion, Iowa State has out-dug 21 of its opponents this season.

Cyclones Add Seven for 2012-13
• The Cyclones added seven signees to the 2012-13 incoming class, announced on Nov. 14. Mackenzie Bigbee, Katie Gallagher, Morgan Kuhrt, Andie Malloy, Caitlin Nolan, Bria Rasmussen and Natalie Vondrak will join Iowa State next fall.
Bigbee, Gallagher, Kuhrt and Malloy are 2011-12 Under Armour All-Americans.
