SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? Former Iowa State midfielder Jordan Bishop was named to this week's Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) team of the week the league announced.
Bishop is currently on the reserve team for the Boston Breakers, a member of Women's Professional Soccer (WPS). The WPS is the highest level of women's soccer in the U.S. The Carrollton, Texas, native is currently playing midfielder for her squad and helped it to a 2-2 draw with Seacoast United in the season-opening match.
The WPSL's statement on Bishop was “one of the newest members of Boston's team showed why Iowa State University will miss her services this fall, as she was active in the midfield winning balls and attacking defenders on the dribble.”
