Blogging With Bishop

AMES, Iowa - Former Iowa State soccer player Jordan Bishop provides the third installment of a summer blog about her experiences playing in the next step of her career.

Howdy Cyclones!

I see all the progress our athletics department is making! Looks great! As for me, I am continuing treatment on the lovely Achilles. I'm making progress with the treatment, and have rejoined the girls in training. We had Breaker practice Thursday morning and were put in an 11 v 11 scrimmage against the pros. The level of intensity and skill when playing with them is amazing. Speed of play, quickness on the ball and overall vision on the field of these players has been very beneficial in developing my game even further. This was a good preview of when we play them in a real game in a couple of weeks! We have a game Saturday against New England Mutiny. This game is especially important and exciting because my former Iowa State teammate and best friend Adrianna O'Neill and her family will be coming to it. It will be a great game, and we'll be working exceptionally hard and SMART to get that "W".
