AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team had 14 players earn Academic All-Big 12 honors the league announced Tuesday. Iowa State had the second most honorees in the conference with 14, led by
Jessica Reyes who posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
Iowa State placed 10 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team with junior
Maggie Bruckman, senior
Jennifer Dominguez, senior
Maddie Jobe, senior
Theresa Kucera, junior
Susie Potterveld, senior
Margaret Powers, senior
Jessica Reyes, senior
Meredith Skitt, junior
Alyssa Williamson and junior Haley Womack were all selected the first team academic All-Big 12 team.
Sophomore
Haley Albert, senior
Emily Goldstein, senior
Erin Green and sophomore
Mia McAleer all earned second-team Academic All-Conference honors.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student- athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
