LAS VEGAS, Nev. -Iowa State (1-4, 0-0 Big 12) fell to BYU (5-1, 0-0 WCC), 5-2, Saturday afternoon in Las Vegas.
The Cyclones fell behind after being swept in doubles action against the Cougars.
Ksenia Pronina captured the Cyclones' first team point with a No. 2 singles win. Pronina defeated Morgan Anderson 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. Meghan Cassens picked up the only other win in the match for Iowa State. Cassens defeated the Cougars' Nicolette Tran, 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-2).
Iowa State is back in action tomorrow against UNLV. The match will begin at noon (CT).
