LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Iowa State tennis team lost to No. 67 UNLV, 7-0, Sunday afternoon at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. The Cyclones are now 1-5 overall, while UNLV improves to 6-3 this season.
After ISU dropped the doubles point,
Simona Cacciuttolo nearly upset No. 19 Aleksandra Josifoska of UNLV at No. 1 singles. Cacciuttolo forced a third-set against the highly-ranked Josifoska but fell, 6-2, 4-6, 0-1 (6-10).
Iowa State returns to action next weekend with matches against Portland and Washington in Seattle, Wash.
