STANFORD, Calif.- The Iowa State soccer team (4-4-0) dropped a hard fought battle to the third-ranked Stanford Cardinal 3-1 Sunday at Laird Q. Cagan stadium in Stanford, Calif.
Turning point of the game
With the score tied 1-1 in the 59th minute Stanford's Courtney Verloo scored a goal on an assist from Natlie Griffen to put the Cardinal up 2-1. Stanford (5-0-1) would put the game away in the 82nd minute with another goal and a final score of 3-1.

Cyclone game ball goes to…
Jennifer Dominguez. The Cyclone forward scored a goal in the first 15 seconds of the half to tie the game up 1-1. She was assisted on the goal by Hayley Womack who found Dominguez off a cross. The goal marks the fourth of the season for Dominguez. Honorable mention goes to goalie Maddie Jobe, who tallied a season-high 10 saves.

*Senior goalkeeper Maddie Jobe recorded 10 saves during the game. She now has 241 saves in her career which is tied for the second most ever for a Cyclone goalkeeper.
*Jennifer Dominguez scored her fourth goal of the season, which leads the Cyclones as a team this year and ranks in the top-five in the Big 12.
