AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State soccer team hosts TCU Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Cyclone Sports Complex for the final game of the season. Friday's game will serve as senior night and each of Iowa State's five seniors will be honored before the game.
Since Friday's game is on Halloween night, fans are encouraged to wear their favorite costume. There will be a costume contest judged by Iowa State men's basketball players Georges Niang and Naz Long. The top three costumes in each age bracket will win prizes. The first 500 fans through the gates will also receive a bag of candy.
Last Time Out
The Cyclones dropped two road games to top-25 competition last weekend. The first defeat came to No. 15 Kansas. Iowa State lost 2-1 to the Jayhawks in a game that was ultimately decided by a penalty kick. The Cyclones rounded out the weekend with a loss to No. 19 Texas Tech.
Scouting the Horned Frogs
TCU relies on its steady defense to win. The Horned Frogs look to grind out games and win in lowing scoring contests. TCU's defense is led by goalkeeper Vittoria Arnold and defender Bobbi Clemmer. The duo has held their opponents to one goal or less in every game this past month. Offensively the Horned Frogs are a multi-pronged attack. Seven different goal scorers have found the back of the net this year, with four different athletes having scored at least four goals.
What to Watch For
Iowa State will look to attack the Horned Frogs and put points on the board. TCU is 0-4 when they have given up at least two goals. The Cyclones will look toward sophomore Koree Willer to keep her hot streak going and score a goal for the third consecutive game.
