AUSTIN, Texas- The Iowa State tennis team (8-7, 0-3 Big 12) lost 7-0 to No. 21 Texas (7-9, 2-1 Big 12) on Friday in Austin, Texas.
In doubles action, junior Ksenia Pronina once again teamed up with freshman Samantha Budai to take on Breaunna Addison and Elizabeth Begley at No. 1 singles, finishing the match ahead 7-5. The Longhorns took the doubles point after wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots.
Pronina took on No. 18-ranked Addison at No. 1 singles, losing 6-3, 6-3. Budai was defeated in her return to singles play by No. 114 Elizabeth Begley at the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-1.
The Cyclones will take on Baylor in Waco, Texas this Sunday at 3 p.m.
