ISU clinched the doubles point over the Bobcats with wins from the No. 1 and 2 pairs. Sophomore Samantha Budai teamed up with senior Ksenia Pronina for a win at No. 1 over Rachel Horton and Sydney Young, 6-1. Senior Meghan Cassens paired up with junior Ana Gasparovic for the duo's first doubles win since Gasparovic returned from an injury, taking down Sophia Dzulynsky and Sitilia Rencheli, 6-3.
Junior Aslejandra Galvi earned her fifth singles win in a row over Horton, 6-2, 6-2. The Cucuta, Colombia native has also taken down each of her opponents at the No. 4 slot from Wyoming, UMKC, West Virginia, and St. John's, and will look to extend her streak to six this Friday against Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
Five other Cyclones also earned singles wins, including all three of the team's seniors. Pronina took down Jacqueline Raynor, 6-3, 6-2, while Cassens logged a win over Sitilia Rencheli, 6-2, 3-0, ret. Caroline Andersen earned a win over Ariana Launie, 7-6 (6-4), 6-2.
Sophomore Samantha Budai earned the win at No. 1 singles over Sophia Dzulynsky, 7-5, 6-4.
The Cyclones will continue their road matches in Lawrence, Kansas on Friday. Play is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
