The crucial matches continue to roll on for Iowa State. The Cyclones took care of business in a must-win match at TCU on Saturday in three-sets, and will be looking to pick up another big win over Kansas State on Wednesday. The 6-2 offense Christy Johnson-Lynch has put in continues to work well for the Cyclones, with ISU hitting .294 against the Horned Frogs over the weekend. Grace Lazard was one of the stars of the win, posting nine kills at a career-best .438 hitting percentage and four total blocks (one solo, three assists).
Kansas State's season continues to roll on, as the Wildcats are fourth in the Big 12 with a 16-5 overall record and 5-3 conference mark after defeating West Virginia in five sets on Saturday. Though K-State arrives to Ames with a strong record, history is against the visitors. Kansas State has lost eight-straight visits to Hilton Coliseum, only winning one set in those matches. The Wildcats will be looking to do the double over ISU for the first time since 2007, with K-State winning the match in Manhattan in four sets on Sept. 21.
