Iowa State got its first Big 12 win on the board last Friday at West Virginia in dramatic style, coming back from 14-11 down in the fifth set to win 17-15. The road does not get easier this week as the Cyclones take on a pair of top-10 opponents. That starts with No. 6 Kansas, who are strong again after its 2015 run to the National Semifinals. The Jayhawks are 13-2 overall on the year and 2-1 in Big 12 play. Their losses have come to a pair of top-15 teams in Purdue and Texas, both of which came in true road matches.
KU has a three-match win streak in the series, with ISU's last win over the Jayhawks coming in five sets in 2014 inside Hilton Coliseum.
The Cyclones will follow up the match with the Jayhawks with a trip to Austin to take on No. 4 Texas on Saturday at 7 p.m.
