Cyclones Dominate Golden Eagles, 7-0

TULSA, Okla.- The Iowa State tennis team (12-2, 0-0 Big 12) brought their winning streak to three when they defeated the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (8-9, 0-0 Summit) 7-0. The Cyclones came out red hot from the start in the non-conference action at the Case Tennis Center.
The Cyclones got back on track in their last two duals by their doubles play coming out strong. It was no different on Thursday when the Cyclones' double pairings were all victorious. The top pairing of Samantha Budai and Liza Buss started the match off on the right note by defeating their opponents 6-4. Buss and Budai defeated the pairing of Jovana Antonijevic/Petya Simeonova. Alejandra Galvis and Annabella Bonadonna moved their winning streak to five when they defeated Ceijenia Cornelius/Ximena Puentes 6-3.
Iowa State didn't take their foot off the pedal in singles play, only notching one set that came within one point all match. Freshman Liza Buss contiunued her success when she defeated Ceijenia Cornelius 6-3, 6-1. Regina Espindola dominated Petya Simeonova 6-0, 6-1. Freshman Annabella Bonadonna moved into the fourth position today and didn't disapoint. Bonadonna has been in the sixth spot all year long and in her first opportunity in a higher position, she defeated her opponent 6-4, 6-0.
