STILLWATER, Okla.- The Iowa State tennis team (12-4, 0-2 Big 12) fell to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls (13-4, 3-0 Big 12) on Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Cyclones were not able to get it going on Sunday in their second Big 12 competition of the year and weekend. The pairing of Viktoriya Lushkova/Carla Tur Mari was able to to get out to a quick start for the Cowboys and they never looked back in dropping the pairing of
Claudia Toledo and
Regina Espindola.
Iowa State was not able to get it going in singles play either. The Cyclones dropped three matches to the Cowboys. Redshirt Freshman
Liera Bender saw her first action of the spring season. She lost to Maria Alvarez 6-2, 6-3.
The Cyclones will be back in action next weekend for their third Big 12 competition of the season in Morgantown W.Va., when they take on West Virginia. The Cyclones will take on the Mountaineers on March 26th at 12:00 p.m.
