McGuire Named Associate AD For Major Gifts

AMES, Iowa – Ryan McGuire has been promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts, the Iowa State Athletics Department announced today.
McGuire began his career at Iowa State working as an administrative assistant on the Cyclone baseball staff in 1999 and also served as a volunteer baseball coach during the 2000 season. He rejoined the Iowa State Athletics Department staff in May of 2006 as Director of Special Events and Letterwinners Club and was promoted in 2009 to Assistant Athletics Director for Special Events and Letterwinners Club. In 2011, he joined the ISU Foundation in role of Assistant Athletics Director for Major Gifts, where he oversees capital campaign gifts, endowments and planned giving.
A native of Davenport, Iowa, McGuire earned his bachelor's degree and was a member of the baseball team at Northern Iowa, playing outfield and first base. McGuire earned his master's degree from Iowa State in 2000.
"Ryan has done an outstanding job in managing and leading our major gifts fundraising program through the ISU Foundation. He has cultivated numerous relationships that have benefited our department and resulted in philanthropic gifts," Senior Associate Athletics Director Frank Nogel said. "He will continue to be an integral part of our fundraising team as we embark on future facility projects."
