AMES, Iowa – No. 23 Iowa State will look for its second top-10 win of the season on Saturday when the Cyclones travel to Austin to take on No. 5 Texas. First serve between the Cyclones and Longhorns from Gregory Gymnasium will be at 7:15 p.m., with Longhorn Network televising the match.
The Longhorn Network broadcast, with Paul Sunderland and Nell Fortner on the call, can also be accessed by LHN subscribers through WatchESPN and the WatchESPN app, here.
Tickets for the match are on sale now through University of Texas Athletics, here. Fans interested in attending the match are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as there are only a limited number of tickets available, and the match is expected to sell out.
Live stats will also be provided by Texas, here. Fans can also receive updates on the match, and ISU's trip to Austin on social media on Twitter, @CycloneVB, and on Instagram, @IowaStateVB.
The Cyclones make their yearly trip to Austin still in search of a first win over the Longhorns in Austin. Both matches went five sets last season, with each team defending their home courts. The match in Austin last year saw ISU permanently switch to the 6-2 for the rest of the 2016 season, and come back from two sets down to force a fifth set.
No. 5 Texas started the season as Preseason No. 1, but dropped a pair of the matches in non-con at Florida and in Gregory Gym to Minnesota. The Horns moved into sole possession of first place in the Big 12 with a five-set win at No. 9 Kansas on Wednesday. The high school Class of 2017's No. 1 recruit, outside hitter Lexi Sun, had 19 kills in the win over KU and leads the Big 12 in hitting percentage in league matches.
