• The Iowa State men's basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off At Myrtle Beach with a pair of wins against Appalachian State and Tulsa to improve to 2-2 this season.
• Since 2013-14, Iowa State has won the 2013-14 Diamond Head Classic (Honolulu, Hawaii) and the 2015-16 Emerald Coast Classic (Niceville, Florida) and posted a record of 10-2 in regular season tournaments...the Cyclones have reached the finals of each tournament the last five seasons.
• ISU is playing four of its first five games on the road for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.

• ISU looks to run its win streak to three games when it faces Boise State Sunday... Nick Weiler-Babb and Donovan Jackson have paced an energized Cyclone offense after a sluggish start to the season...ISU averaged just 57.5 points and shot just 38.8 percent from the field (26.5 percent behind arc) in losses to Missouri and Milwaukee to start the season...in South Carolina, ISU has averaged 92.0 points and shot 48.0 percent from the field and 43.1 percent behind the arc.
• Weiler-Babb has been a stat-sheet stuffer for the Cyclones in the tournament, averaging 21.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists in the two games...he is one of three players nationally and the only in the Big 12 averaging 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and shooting 60 percent from the field.
• Weiler-Babb has played complete 40-minute games against Appalachian State and Tulsa...he is the first player since Monté Morris in 2015-16 to play back-to-back complete games...Morris did so in three consecutive games...eight players nationally have played two complete games this season.
• Jackson, like Weiler-Babb, has scored at least 20 points in both games in the tournament...in the two wins, Jackson is averaging 25.0 points and has hit 8-of-18 threes and 16-of-17 at the line...he has raised his average from 5.0 points entering the tournament to 15.0 points.
• As a team, Iowa State has hit 22-of-51 three-pointers in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Myrtle Beach...Jakolby Long hit 4-of-6 threes to score a career-high 17 points (15 in first half) against Tulsa...Long was the third different Cyclone to hit four threes in a game this season (Jackson and Weiler-Babb).
• Iowa State has welcomed two players back into the lineup this weekend and both have had their impacts...redshirt freshman Cameron Lard missed the first two games of the season (Coaches Decision) and in his first game posted a 12 point-11 rebound double-double, becoming the first Cyclone freshman to post a double-double in his debut since Georges Niang...he has had three blocks in both games he's played.
• Graduate transfer Hans Brase continues to be eased back into the lineup after coming off knee injuries in the last two seasons at Princeton...Brase is averaging 3.5 points and 3.5 rebounds, having hit his first three as a Cyclone against Tulsa...he's averaged 18.5 minutes in his first two outings.

Last Time Out: Cyclones Advance With Win Over Tulsa
• Iowa State won its second game in a row with an 80-78 win against Tulsa Friday night in Conway.
• Jackson (24) and Weiler-Babb (20) led the Cyclones in scoring once again, with both players scoring more than 20 points for the second consecutive game...Jakolby Long hit 4-of-6 three-pointers and finished with a career-high 17 points as ISU connected on a season-best 12 three-pointers as a team.
• Weiler-Babb posted his first career double-double (20 points and career-best 14 rebounds) and narrowly missed the school's sixth-ever triple-double (8 assists).
• Iowa State improved to 42-3 under Steve Prohm when leading at halftime, which includes a streak of 28-straight wins.
