AMES, Iowa – No. 22 (AVCA Coaches Poll) Iowa State begins its 2017 NCAA Volleyball Championship journey inside Hilton Coliseum on Friday night when the No. 14 seed Cyclones take on Princeton at 7 p.m. The match will be the second of the day, as Hilton Coliseum will also be hosting Wisconsin vs. Marquette starting at 4 p.m. The winners of the two matches will meet on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. inside Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State is appearing in the NCAA Volleyball Championship for the 12th-straight season.
All-Session tickets are on sale now through the Iowa State Ticket Office, here, or prior to the match at the Hilton Coliseum Ticket Office at the lower southwest corner of Hilton. Single-session tickets (good for both matches on Friday) will go on sale Friday morning through the ISU Ticket Office. All fans, including Iowa State students and Jr. Cyclone Club members, are required to have tickets to attend NCAA Championship matches.

The long journey that the 2017 season has been is now narrowed down to the final 64 teams competing for the NCAA Championship across the next three weeks. The NCAA Selection Committee has recognized the Cyclones' outstanding 2017 season by naming Iowa State the No. 14 overall seed in the tournament. ISU is hosting the first two rounds of the tournament inside Hilton Coliseum for the first time since 2012. Christy Johnson-Lynch's 21-6 Cyclones have been led by the All-Big 12 First Team trio of Big 12 Libero of the Year Hali Hillegas, Jess Schaben and Samara West.
The first step on the postseason journey come against the Ivy League champs Princeton, who claimed the conference's automatic berth for the second-straight season. Sabrina King's Tigers are led by Ivy League Player of the Year Maggie O'Connell, who averages 3.38 kills per set. This will be the first ever meeting between Iowa State and Princeton and the first time in 25 years the Cyclones are taking on Ivy League opposition.
