AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State Office of Student-Athlete Development announced on Monday that four Cyclone student-athletes have been honored for their hard work and dedication in the classroom during the month of November. The students being honored are Hans Brase (Men's Basketball), Reggan Northrup (Football), Sydney Ronald (Swimming & Diving) and Sally Woolpert (Softball).
Hans Brase – Senior (Men's Basketball)
Hometown:Â Clover, S.C.
Major:Â Interdisciplinary Studies
Brase is in his first year as a Cyclone after coming to Iowa State from Princeton as a graduate transfer. The native of Clover, S.C. has appeared in seven games this season, all ISU wins, averaging 4.1 points and 5.4 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
Reggan Northrup – Junior (Linebacker)
Hometown:Â Jacksonville, Fla.
Major:Â Interdisciplinary Studies
Northrup was a key reserve at the linebacker position for Iowa State in 2017. The native of Jacksonville, Fla., has racked up 88 tackles, including 6.0 tackles for loss, in his Cyclone career. He had a season-high four tackles vs. Kansas this season.
Sydney Ronald – Junior (Diver)
Hometown:Â Clinton Township, Mich.
Major:Â Kinesiology and Health
Ronald has had a tremendous start to the 2017-18 season. In November, she broke her personal best scores in two disciplines. Her new personal best one-meter score of 265.00 took first overall in the double-dual against TCU and South Dakota, while also eclipsing the mark to qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. She also took seventh at the Mizzou Invite on the three-meter board with a score of 277.00.
Sally Woolpert – Junior (Utility)
Hometown:Â Cypress, Calif.
Major:Â Kinesiology and Health
Sally Woolpert has yet to begin her junior season, but has already made an impact on the Iowa State softball program in two seasons on campus. Woolpert has appeared in 84 games during her ISU career, and came up with a clutch RBI double on May 7 to help spark a Cyclone rally, as Iowa State completed a three-game sweep of Kansas.
The Iowa State OSAD's Student-Athlete of the Month program was implemented by Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Services, Patrice Feulner. Student-athlete development staff members who oversee each sport submit nominations, and the staff votes on the monthly winner.
