• Iowa State returns home for the start of a stretch in which it will play four of the next six games at Hilton Coliseum...the Cyclones look to run its win streak against OU in Hilton Coliseum to six games...ISU is also looking to avoid losing back-to-back games at Hilton Coliseum, something that hasn't happened since the 2010-11 season.

• Iowa State rallied from 17 points down to tie Texas with under a minute left in regulation, but the Cyclones were unable to complete the comeback, falling 67-65 Tuesday night in Austin.
• Of ISU's nine losses, five of them have been to teams (Kansas, Baylor, Gonzaga, Cincinnati, West Virginia) that are ranked in the top-15 and own a combined record of 107-13...those five losses have been by an average of 4.4 points...the Cyclones' other four losses have come on the road.
• Iowa State is one of six schools that hasn't suffered a 15-point loss since the start of the 2015-16 season...the streak actually dates back to 2013-14 (105 games)...since beginning of 2014-15, only four schools haven't lost by 15+ points.
• ISU ranks among KenPom.com's top 45 in both adjusted offensive efficiency (41) and defensive efficiency (24)...in the KenPom era (since 2001-02), its the best defensive efficiency since 2005 (10)...the Cyclones are No. 26 in KenPom's rankings.
• ISU ranks among the nation's top-20 teams in steals per game (8.6)...Monté Morris has 21 steals the last nine game and Deonte Burton has 30...Burton has had six steals in each of the last two games, the first ISU player to achieve that feat.
• Burton was named Big 12 Player of the Week after he scored 29 points at Kansas (7-9 3FG), including 19 after halftime...he has four games with 27 points or more...he has 21 blocks (2.1 per game) and 30 steals (3.0) in the last 10 games...Burton leads ISU in steals (48) & blocks (33) this season and is aiming to become the first Cyclone to do so since Royce White (2011-12).
• ISU continues to rank among the nation's top teams in taking care of the basketball...the Cyclones average 10.4 turnovers per game, which leads the Big 12 and is ninth nationally...ISU's turnover percentage of 14.2 ranks second nationally...ISU's turnover margin (+5.3) is third nationally...ISU has had fewer turnovers than its opponents in 20 of 23 games.
• Matt Thomas became the 34th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point milestone, joining teammates Morris and Nazareth Mitrou-Long...the group is the first trio of Cyclone teammates to all have 1,000 points concurrently since Fred Hoiberg, Julius Michalik and Loren Meyer (1992-95).
• Morris has been at his best since the schedule flipped to Big 12 play...in league, Morris is leading the Cyclones with 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game...he is first nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (5.46) and is also the nation's active career leader (4.64)... in Big 12 play he is averaging one turnover every 47.4 minutes he's played...Morris broke Jeff Hornacek's career assist record and is six steals shy of his career mark as well.
• Mitrou-Long (221) and Thomas (224) have surpassed 200 career 3-pointers made...this season, they have combined for 118 made threes, the most among Big 12 teammates...the duo is averaging a combined 6.8 3-pointers the last five games.
• Iowa State is shooting 39.3 percent behind the arc in Big 12 play, including three regulars in the rotation hitting 40 percent of their long-range tries...Thomas is shooting 45.7 percent on threes in conference action, while Burton and Morris are hitting at a 40 percent clip...Burton is shooting 56.8 percent on threes (21-37) the last five games...ISU has 10+ threes in 7-of-11 Big 12 games.

• Iowa State started the game scoring just three points in the first eight minutes as Texas jumped out to a 17-3 lead and held off a furious rally from the Cyclones to win, 67-65, Tuesday night in Austin...the Cyclones never led in the game, tying it for the first time at the 0:47 second mark of the second half.
• The Cyclones had four players in double figures, paced by 17 points on five 3-pointers from Thomas...Burton added 13 points, Mitrou-Long had 12 and Morris posted 10 points, seven assists and zero turnovers.
• The game was Thomas' fourth in the last five wiht at least four 3-pointers.
