• Iowa State returns to Hilton Coliseum to host No. 8 Texas Tech Saturday afternoon as it plays the second of three games in six days.
• The Cyclones are in the midst of playing three of four games, including both this week, against teams ranked in the top-25...of ISU's 13 regular season games remaining, nine are against the AP top-25...according to NCAAsports.com, ISU's remaining opponents have the best winning percentage in the nation (.768)...since 2013-14, ISU is tied for the fifth-most wins (25) against the top-25.

• Iowa State looks to bounce back after a 96-73 loss Wednesday night at No. 24 TCU when it plays host to No. 8 Texas Tech...ISU has defeated at least one top-10 team in each of the last four seasons...under Steve Prohm, ISU has played back-to-back games against ranked teams five times, earning a split three times.
• Lindell Wigginton, this week's Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, is averaging 24.3 points in the last three outings (27 at KU, 30 vs. BU, 16 at TCU)...he's hit 54.2 percent behind the arc (13-24) during that stretch...he is just the fourth Cyclone rookie to score 30 points in a game and his seven 20-point efforts trail only Marcus Fizer and Curtis Stinson's freshman record of eight 20-point games...he currently has the top scoring average by any ISU freshman (16.5)...his scoring average is sixth among freshmen from the top-6 conferences.
• Junior Nick Weiler-Babb is one of college basketball's most well-rounded players...a stat-sheet stuffer, Weiler-Babb is the only player nationally averaging at least 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists...he has seven double-doubles this season after recording three straight prior to the TCU game...he is one of just two players nationally with multiple double-doubles of both points-assists and points-rebounds...the only player in Big 12 history to record a 200 point-200 rebound-200 assist season as Weiler-Babb is on pace to do was former Cyclone All-American DeAndre Kane (2013-14)...he has 16 assists and just two turnovers in the last two games.
• Weiler-Babb ranks sixth nationally averaging 7.6 assists per game and leads the Big 12 with a 2.9 a/to ratio, posting six double-digit assist games...with three complete games already this season, Weiler-Babb ranks fifth nationally and leads all Big 12 players averaging 37.4 minutes.
• Donovan Jackson is averaging 4.6 threes per game over the last five Cyclone outings....he became the 19th player in school history to make 100 three-pointers and currently has 102...Jackson has eight 20-point games this season, seven of which have seen him score at least 24 points...among Big 12 players, only OU's Trae Young has more games with at least 24 points...he has connected on 58 three-pointers this season...the Milwaukee native is 40-of-43 from the free-throw line, topping the Big 12 at 93 percent.
• Redshirt freshman Cameron Lard is averaging 12.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks in four starts...for the season, Lard is averaging 11.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks, making him one of just three freshmen nationally averaging 11-7-2 (Mo Bamba, Texas; Abdul Ado, Miss. State)...he has posted four double-doubles, which is the most by a Cyclone freshman since Melvin Ejim in 2010-11...Lard had five blocks against Baylor, the first Cyclone to reach that mark since 2015.
• ISU is one of seven programs in the nation's top-6 leagues to have two freshmen averaging at least 11 points (10 games played minimum)...Alabama, Oklahoma, Duke, Kentucky, UCLA and California are the others.

Last Time Out: Cyclones Fall At No. 24 TCU
• Not much went right for the Cyclones Wednesday night against TCU...the Cyclones allowed the Horned Frogs to shoot 60.3 percent from the field. while connecting on 12 three-pointers, in a 96-73 loss in Fort Worth.
• Jackson (19) led the Cyclones in scoring, while Lard (16) and Wigginton (16) were also in double figures...14 of Wigginton's 16 points came in the second half as he battle doul trouble in the first.
• Jackson (4-7) and Wigginton (4-6) combined to make all of ISU's three-pointers (8-16 overall).
• Lard had three blocks, his fourth time in the last five games with three or more blocks.
