Game #20Â - Tennessee
• Iowa State returns home for the first game of a two-game homestand Saturday when it hosts No. 22 Tennessee in the Big 12/SEC Challenge...ISU has won its last five games against top-25 non-conference teams at Hilton Coliseum...the Cyclones have 26 wins vs. top-25 since 2013-14 (fifth-most nationally).
• The Maui Jim Maui Invitational will present an eight-foot, hand-crafted, custom-made surfboard to the Iowa State men's basketball team to celebrate the team's upcoming appearance in the 2018 Tournament....the presentation will occur during the first media TO of the first half...this will be Iowa State's second appearance in the tournament, going 1-2 in 1990.

• Iowa State looks to win its third-straight home game Saturday against Tennessee...ISU has beat Baylor and Texas Tech the last two Saturday's, winning the games by an average of 14.0 points and holding opponents to just 34.1 percent shooting in the wins.
• Redshirt freshman Cameron Lard, this week's Co-Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, is averaging 13.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks in six career starts...he  has been in double figures in 10 of the last 11 games...for the season, Lard is averaging 12.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks, making him one of two freshman nationally and one of just 13 players overall averaging 12-7-2...in school history, only Jared Homan (2004-05) has averaged 12-7-2 since blocks were recorded in 1985-86...he has posted five double-doubles, which ties for the fourth most by a freshman in school history...Lard has 14 blocks in the last four games...he is 10th nationally shooting 64.4 percent from the field.
• Lindell Wigginton, a two-time Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honoree, is averaging 20.2 points and 3.6 three-pointers per game in the last five outings...he's hit 47.4 percent behind the arc during that stretch...second among Big 12 freshmen in scoring average (16.2), his seven 20-point efforts trail only Marcus Fizer and Curtis Stinson's freshman record of eight 20-point games...he's been in double in five-straight games...his 43 three-pointers made are third-most on ISU's freshman chart, just one behind Matt Thomas and 18 behind Jake Sullivan's record.
• Junior Nick Weiler-Babb is one of college basketball's most well-rounded players...a stat-sheet stuffer, Weiler-Babb is the only player nationally averaging at least 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and seven assists...he has seven double-doubles this season...the only player in Big 12 history to record a 200 point-200 rebound-200 assist season as Weiler-Babb is on pace to do was former Cyclone All-American DeAndre Kane (2013-14).
• Weiler-Babb ranks eighth nationally averaging 7.2 assists per game and leads the Big 12 with a 2.7 a/to ratio, posting six double-digit assist games...with four complete games already this season, Weiler-Babb ranks seventh nationally and leads all Big 12 players averaging 37.8 minutes.
• Donovan Jackson has eight 20-point games this season, seven of which have seen him score at least 24 points...he's second on the team averaging 15.5 points...among Big 12 players, only OU's Trae Young has more games with at least 24 points...Jackson is 40-of-43 from the free-throw line, topping the Big 12 at 93 percent...he's among the nation's top-30 this season in 3-pointers made (63) and with 107 made in his career he ranks 16th all-time at ISU.
• ISU is one of four programs in the nation's top-6 leagues to have two freshmen averaging at least 12 points (10 games played minimum)...California, Duke, Kentucky are the others...in conference play, ISU and Duke are the only two to have two rookies averaging 14 ppg.

• Iowa State and Tennessee are meeting for the third time, with the series tied at 1-1...the schools haven't met since 1977, a UT win, while Iowa State won a 1968 matchup in Knoxville.
• Steve Prohm has never coached against Tennessee and head coach Rick Barnes...Barnes is 15-9 against ISU after spending 17 seasons at Texas...the Cyclones defeated Barnes in the final four meetings, with the last being on a Monté Morris' buzzer-beater at the 2015 Big 12 Championships.
• Weiler-Babb faced Tennessee twice as a freshman while playing at Arkansas...he was scoreless in four minutes.

• Iowa State fell behind early and was never able to recover as it was swept in the season series by Texas, losing 73-57 Monday night at the Erwin Center in Austin.
• Three players scored in double figures for the Cyclones, led by Weiler-Babb and Wigginton, who finished with 15 points...Lard had perhaps the best overall game, tallying 12 points and 12 boards to go along with three blocks...it was his fourth consecutive game with at least three blocks.
• The Cyclones shot just 38.9 percent from the field in the loss...ISU's eight assists were its fewest since having just five against Milwaukee in the second game of the season.

• Iowa State stays home following this weekend game as the Cyclones host West Virginia at Hilton Coliseum Wednesday evening...it will be a rematch of last season's Big 12 Championship final, which saw the Cyclones win 80-74 to claim their third tournament title in the last four seasons...it will be the 12th meeting overall between the schools, with Iowa State leading 6-5.
