AUSTIN, Texas - The Iowa State women's basketball team (9-11, 3-6Â Big 12) is set to hit the road to take on No. 6 Texas (15-4, 6-2 Big 12) on Saturday, Jan. 27Â at 7Â p.m. on the Longhorn Network. Iowa State leads the all-time series over the Longhorns, 18-14. ISU trails in Austin, 5-9, but has claimed two of the last three meetings over UT.
The Cyclones are looking for their second-straight road win over a ranked opponent, after topping No. 19 Oklahoma State, 78-69, on Wednesday.Â

- Junior Bridget Carleton is the only power-5 player in the nation leading her team in points, rebounds and assists. The Chatham, Ontario, Canada native is averaging 19.0 points, 7.1 boards and 3.6 assists. She is also averaging 2.6 steals per game and 0.9 blocks per contest.
- Carleton is one of 20 players in the nation named to the Cheryl Miller Award Preseason Watch List, which honors the nation's top small forward. Carleton also earned honorable mention honors on the Big 12 preseason team for the 2017-18 season in addition to being a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 postseason team in 2016-17.
- Carleton has 1,168 career points, and ranks 23rd all-time in ISU history, and is 18 away from tying Anne O'Neil and Anna Prins in 21st (1,186). She currently ranks seventh in school history in career scoring average, with 15.0 points per game. She trails Lindsey Wilson, who is in sixth with 15.1 points per contest.
- Iowa State ranks first in the Big 12 and is in the top-50 in the nation in 3-pointers per game (8.3). The Cyclones have four players who have netted over 25 triples on the years so far, leading the Big 12. - The 2016-17 season marks the 23rd in the tenure of Bill Fennelly. Fennelly has led Iowa State to 17 NCAA Tournament appearances, which is tied with Oklahoma as the most of any Big 12 team since 1997. Fennelly boasts a 474-247 record at Iowa State and a 640-300 record in his 28-year career as a head coach. His 640 career wins lists him in the top-30 in the NCAA among active coaches.
