K-State has had a tough start to Big 12 play, as they have followed up a 10-1 non-conference slate by going 0-5 in league play so far, its latest setback coming at Texas Tech in five sets last Wednesday. The Wildcats are a mix of experience and youth, with redshirt senior outside hitter Kylee Zumach leading the attack with 3.80 kills per set. Second in kills is freshman RS Gloria Mutiri, who has gotten her 2.86 kills per set at a .282 hitting percentage.
This will be the 91st meeting between the Cyclones and Wildcats, with ISU leading the all-time series 51-39. The Cyclones have won the last three meetings between the two teams, including sweeping each of last season's meetings. Iowa State's sweep at Ahearn Field House was its first win in the Little Apple since 2011.
