AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State soccer team and head coach Tony Minatta announced the program's 2018 schedule Wednesday. The Cyclones will face a strong schedule, featuring nine homes matches, as well as eight regular season contests against teams that earned bids to the 2017 NCAA Soccer Tournament.
"We are looking forward to another challenging non-conference schedule," Minatta said. "We gained valuable experience from last year and will be able to draw from that this season. The schedule also prepares us for the Big 12, which is once again poised to be one of the best conferences in the country."
Iowa State will square off against Drake in an exhibition game in Des Moines on Aug. 11. The Cyclones will then officially open the 2018 campaign with a pair of home matches at the Cyclone Sports Complex. Iowa State takes on South Dakota State on Aug. 17, followed by a match vs. Missouri in Ames on Aug. 19.

The Cyclones will stay in town to face Purdue on Aug. 26. Next up, the Cyclones travel to Colorado, where they will face a pair of 2017 NCAA tournament squads in Denver (Aug. 31) and Colorado (Sept. 2).
