The Red Raiders are one of three teams in the Big 12 to be off to a 2-0 start in league play, also boasting a 13-3 overall record. Tech also had a bye on Wednesday, coming off a four-set home win over West Virginia on Saturday. TTU opened up league last Wednesday with four-set win over then-No. 19 Baylor in Waco.
TTU will be looking to reverse a rough series history against Iowa State. The Cyclones have won each of the previous 23 meetings, dating back to 2006, and lead the all-time series 27-20. However, the recent matches in Lubbock have been competitive, with TTU taking Iowa State to five sets three of the past four seasons inside United Supermarkets Arena. Last season's meeting at Tech saw Samara West post a career-high 20 kills and Hali Hillegas a career-best 34 digs to help guide ISU to the victory.
