AMES, Iowa – Freshman Thasaporn Naklo won a pair of contests at the ITA Women's All-American Championships to highlight a busy Saturday for the Iowa State women's tennis team.

Naklo made Iowa State's debut in the national event memorable, opening the action by winning both of her matches. After cruising by Notre Dame's Ally Bojczuk, Naklo won a hotly-contested battle against Ohio State's Luna Dormet, 6-4, 7-5.

The Cyclones continued their play Saturday in Waco in a more convincing fashion. Margarita Timakova started the morning in the right direction, beating UTSA's Diya Menon, 6-1, 6-4. Later in the afternoon, Timakova fell to just short, losing to Illinois' Madeleine Gandwidjaja.
