WORTH NOTING
1. Iowa State looks to move to 2-0 to start the season for the fourth time in five seasons under the direction of Steve Prohm.
2. Cyclone sophomore Tyrese Haliburton has been named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team, as well as to the Naismith Trophy, Wooden Award and Lute Olson Award watch lists...Haliburton started his season with a stat-stuffing performance, finishing with 12 points, 14 assists, seven rebounds and six steals in the season opener against Mississippi Valley State...he is just the second Division I player since 1996-97 to reach 12 points, 14 assists, seven rebounds and six steals in a game...in fact, only James Harden and Russell Westbrook have posted those totals in an NBA game in the last five seasons.
3. ISU assists on 71 percent of its field goals in the season opener, which ranked among the nation's top-15 performances as of Wednesday's games according to Stats, Inc.
4. Michael Jacobson posted his first career game with at least 20 points and nine assists...in the nation's first two days of games, only 34 players posted 20-9 games.
5. ISU had seven players reach double figures, the most by a Cyclone team since 2016...three bench players reached double figures in the win.
