No. 5 Iowa State Opens Season At John McNichols Invite

AMES, Iowa – The No. 5 Iowa State men's cross country team will open the season on Saturday morning at the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. The men's 8k race is set to begin at 9 a.m.
This will be a good chance for the men to get a look at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, which is set to host the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championships in November.
It will also be a good test for the runners as six teams ranked in the top-25 (No. 1 Northern Arizona, No. 5 Iowa State, No. 7 Stanford, No. 9 Wisconsin, No. 16 Indiana and No. 24 Purdue) are set to compete on Saturday morning.
