AMES, Iowa - The Cyclones return to action this weekend for their second tournament of the year, the Kansas Invitational. Hosted by the University of Kansas, the event will be held at the Jayhawk Tennis Center in Lawrence. The tournament will be played Oct. 2-4.
The Cyclones will face opponents from Kansas and Kansas State.
Fans will not be allowed at the event.
DOUBLES DEBUT
The Cyclones will play doubles matches for the first time since last spring.
Each day will consist of two rounds of doubles play, followed by one singles match for each player.
PLAYER TO WATCH
Ting-Pei Chang had a hot start to the season two weeks ago in the Cyclones first tournament. She impressed by defeating her first three opponents en route to the semifinals.
Chang's 3-1 start last weekend featured wins against KU's Sofia Smagina and Carmen Roxana Manu.
CYCLONE TENNIS QUICK HIT
Moving Up - Maty Cancini is four match wins away from moving into fourth place on Iowa State's all-time wins list. The senior has racked up 135 career wins heading into the weekend.
