STILLWATER, Okla. – The No. 7 Iowa State men's cross country team sent a group of runners to compete at the OSU Winter Open on Tuesday afternoon. The field featured No. 4 Tulsa and No. 6 Oklahoma State along with the No. 7 Cyclones.
All four runners in competition at the OSU Cross Country Course, which is set to host the NCAA Championships in two weeks, competed as individuals.
Mitchell Day and Thomas Pollard both posted top-10 finishes in a field that included some of the top individual runners in the country. Day earned a ninth-place finish behind an 8k time of 24:32.6. Pollard captured a 10th-place finish with a time of 24:45.2.
Chad Johnson was the next Cyclone finisher, racing to a 13th-place finish in 25:12.9. Milo Greder finished on Johnson's heals, crossing the finish line in 25:13.3 for a 14th-place finish.
