AMES, Iowa – Iowa State volleyball has announced the addition of a pair of matches at DePaul next weekend on March 12-13. The Cyclones and Blue Demons will meet at McGrath-Phillips Arena on DePaul's campus Friday, March 12 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, March 13 at 4 p.m.
Both matches will be streamed for free on DePaul All-Access, here. Direct links to the streams and live stats will be added when available.
This addition to the ISU schedule comes in reaction to the cancellation of the March 10 match against Illinois State due to Illinois State being unable to field the minimum number of student-athletes.
This will mark the seventh and eighth all-time meetings between the two programs, with ISU leading the all-time series 4-2. However, this will also be the first meeting in the series since 1992. The Cyclones previously played at DePaul in 1990 and 1991, splitting those two meetings.
In a pandemic season twist, this meeting is actually back on the schedule. In Iowa State's original fall 2020 schedule, DePaul was scheduled to come to Ames in September to take part in ISU's annual non-conference tournament at Hilton Coliseum.
For another ISU schedule note, Iowa State's match against Wayne State at Hilton Coliseum on Friday, March 26 now has a start time of 4 p.m.
