AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State softball team will play its final home game of the 2021 season on Tuesday vs. Kansas City at the Cyclone Sports Complex. It will be the final home game for seniors Sami Williams and Logan Schaben, who are set to depart Ames as the program's winningest senior class since 1989.

FROM THE NOTEBOOK
-Iowa State is 12-3 all-time vs. Kansas City. The Cyclones and Roos last met on April 29, 2013, with ISU sweeping a doubleheader.
-The Cyclones enter their final non-con game with a 24-7 record outside of league play.
-Senior Sami Williams hit the walk-off, two-run home run to propel the Cyclones past Baylor on April 24. It was the third walk-off homer of her career - all coming in Big 12 play.
-Junior pitcher Shannon Mortimer improved to 4-0 on the season with Saturday's win vs. BU. Mortimer allowed just one run on four hits in 5.0 innings of work with 4 strikeouts. in two outings against Baylor.
-Iowa State has hit 52 home runs this season, setting a new single-season school record. The program's single-season home run record has been set in each of Jamie Pinkerton's three complete seasons as Iowa State's head coach (2018 - 45, 2019 - 48, 2021 - 52).

-Williams' walk-off blast was her 18th home run of the season, breaking the program's single-season record of 17 she set in 2019.
-Williams holds ISU's all-time records for hits (315), doubles (77), home runs (64), RBI (175), runs scored (198), games played (243) and at-bats (802).
-Mikayla Ramos and Williams have been among the nation's best hitters. Ramos and Williams are two of just four Big 12 players with 9+ doubles and 10+ homers this year.
-Williams continues to ascend among the NCAA's all-time doubles leaders. Williams is now No. 5 in NCAA DI history with 77 career doubles. She is the nation's active leader and ranks first in Big 12 history in the category.
