Kezuka Earns Academic All-District Honors

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State tennis student-athlete Chie Kezuka has been named to CoSIDA's Academic All-District 6 At-Large team.
Kezuka, an advertising major from Fujisawa, Japan, recently completed her second season as a Cyclone, helping the team reach its first NCAA Tournament in school history. Kezuka was 11-7 in singles action during the dual season, posting a team-high five match clinching victories while playing primarily at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
Kezuka had the deciding wins in the Big 12 Tournament against No. 29 Texas Tech and then did it again in the NCAA Tournament as the Cyclones upset No. 24 South Carolina. She also clinched Iowa State's first-ever victory against TCU.
Kezuka, who owns a 3.45 cumulative grade point average, now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.
