Soles Returns To ISU As Associate AD For Compliance

AMES, Iowa – Adam Soles, who has 11 years of professional experience at three Power Five institutions, has been selected as Iowa State's new Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, Cyclone Athletics Director Jamie Pollard announced today. Soles returns to Iowa State after spending the last five years as Pitt's Associate Athletics Director for Administration.
"We are excited to welcome Adam back to the Cyclone family," Pollard said. "His leadership of our compliance staff will be of great benefit to our coaches, student-athletes and staff as we work together to navigate an ever-changing intercollegiate athletics landscape."
Soles joined the Pitt staff in August 2016 as the Panthers' Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance and was promoted to Associate Athletics Director for Administration in July 2020. He leads the compliance unit's day-to-day activities and is responsible for the administration of NCAA and Atlantic Coast Conference education programs for Pitt's student-athletes, coaches and staff. Soles has been involved in all facets of the Pitt compliance program, and collaboratively worked to develop an elite student-athlete education program for the Panthers.

"Adam has a demonstrated track record of leadership and is prepared to elevate the high standard of excellence already in place within our compliance program."
Prior to leading the Pitt compliance efforts, Soles spent four years as an Assistant Director of Compliance at Iowa State, where he implemented and enhanced the Cyclones monitoring processes and oversaw camps and clinics to ensure compliance with NCAA legislation. He began his career as an extern/intern at the University of Nebraska before joining the ISU staff.
The Ainsworth, Neb., native, earned his undergraduate degree in business administration in 2008 from the University of Nebraska with highest distinction and completed his law degree at the University of Nebraska in 2011. He was admitted to the Iowa Bar in September of 2011.
Adam's wife, Abby, is Waterloo, Iowa, native.
