Cyclones Finish Sixth At Badger Invitational

FITCHBURG, Wis. – The Iowa State men's golf team placed sixth at the Badger Invitational with an 870 tally. Illinois State took home the team title at 856.

True freshman Luke Gutschewski led the Cyclones by firing rounds of 71-72-73 for a 216 tally. Gustschewski's 54-hole, even-par total tied for 13th in the medalist race.

After beginning his final round at +3 through four holes, he rallied to go 2-under in his last 14 holes.

Frank Lindwall tied for 19th, posting rounds of 72-71-74 (217), and Lachlan Barker tied for 26th at 218 (74-72-72).

ISU is back in action at the Fighting Irish Class, Oct. 4-5 in South Bend, Ind.
