Morishita Inks With The Cyclones

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State head men's golf coach Andrew Tank announced today that Kyo Morishita, who is No. 25 nationally in the Rolex AJGA rankings, has signed a letter of intent and will join the Cyclone men's golf team in 2022-23.
Originally from Amagasaki, Japan, Morishita moved to the United States in 2017 to begin his prep career at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
Morishita was a 2021 Rolex Junior All-America Honorable Mention selection after placing in the top 10 in four AJGA events, including tying for third at the AJGA Junior Championship presented by Spinnaker Foundation and the Sung Hyun Park Junior Championship.
He had a 72.0 scoring average in IMG Academy rounds.
Morishita claimed titles at the 2018 Hudson Junior Invitational and 2019 AJGA Stewart Cink Championship. He also competed in the 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur and placed 10th at the 2021 Japan Junior Championship.
