MANHATTAN- Kan. - Kansas State (10-6, 1-2 Big 12) swept Iowa State (9-7, 1-2 Big 12) by set scores of 18-25, 24-26, 20-25Â on Sunday afternoon. Eleanor Holthaus hit the mark of over 200 season kills as she notched her fourth double-double of the season.
Holthaus finalized 10 kills and 10 digs for her second double-double in as many matches. It is her 67th career match with 10 or more kills and 24th-career double-double. Holthaus now stands 11 kills away from the fifth-most in school history as she now totals 1,323.
Solei Thomas totaled nine kills at .316 while Abby Greiman totaled five blocks on the match.
The Cyclones held a slight advantage in hitting efficiency, .248-.243. K-State's Shaylee Myers led the attack by handing in 17 kills at .311 while the Wildcats sent 11 aces over.
SET ONE
K-State's Myers began the match with four kills to aid in the Wildcat's early lead of 8-4 as Iowa State called a timeout. K-State built a lead of five as the Cyclones battled back to a tie at 14. The Wildcat's fourth ace of the set then brought them to a score advantage of 20-16 as they served up two more in the frame, showing why they lead the conference in aces. Despite being out-hit by Iowa State .235-.139, K-State won the set 25-18.
SET TWO
Thomas fired off two kills to put the Cyclones on the board first. Holthaus got her fifth kill of the match to knot the set at 6-6 and total her 200th kill of the season. Kansas State got out to a lead of four to put the score at 17-13 while the Wildcats hit .526 and the Cyclones hit .381. Greiman and Holthaus then each slammed down a kill to trim the lead to one. Iowa State then battled ahead 20-17 on a 7-0 scoring run capped by a Morgan Brandt ace.  The set was extended, but K-State ultimately took the set victory 26-24.
SET THREE
Jaden Newsome handed in another setter kill for ISU's first point of the set. Another setter kill, this time by Brandt tied it up at 6 apiece. The Cyclones powered forward with another two kills and a block by Thomas and Greiman to go ahead 10-8, forcing a K-State timeout. Another K-State timeout was called as the Cyclones hit a 4-0 scoring run with a Brooke Stonestreet ace. Brandt sent another kill in the midst of the run to tie the freshman's career high. An ISU lead was built to 14-8 on another Thomas kill before K-State stopped the scoring run and eventually jumped ahead 19-16. Holthaus hit her 10th kill for the next point to record the double-double. The Wildcats kept on to pull off the sweep by a set score of 25-20.

The Cyclones return home next Friday, Oct. 7 meeting Kansas. The match begins at 6:30 p.m. and serves as the Women in Sports match.
