AMES, Iowa – Iowa State (18-11, 9-6 Big 12) concludes regular season Wednesday, Nov. 23, hosting Oklahoma (15-11, 5-9 Big 12). Eight seniors will be honored following the match.
The match will be streamed on Big 12 Now on ESPN+. Tickets are currently included in a $1 flash sale up to the start time of the match, tickets are available here. Any college student can also show their school-issued ID to receive a complimentary ticket.
In addition to Senior Night, tomorrow is also the Hilton Holiday match. Fans are invited to wear their best holiday attire and those who do will have a chance to win a Kwik Star gift card. A photo booth will be set up on the concourse before the match for holiday photos.
A limited number of Holiday Cyclone Volleyball shirts will be given away upon entry into Hilton Coliseum. All fans can enter gift card giveaways to Cy's Locker Room or Chick-Fil-A. There will also be a Yeti tumbler giveaway and free pizza delivery to fans.
LAST TIME OUT
Solei Thomas hit the mark of 1,000 career kills last match. Thomas is one of two current Cyclones with 1,000 kills.
Brooke Stonestreet brought in her 10th 20-plus dig performance as she totaled 22. Seven of the 10 have occurred in conference. ISU (15.08 per set) and Stonestreet (4.82 per set) continue to lead conference action in digs.
Both Jaden Newsome (15 assists, 12 digs) and Maya Duckworth (14 kills, 11 digs) notched double-doubles. Newsome has now brought in eight and Duckworth six as Cyclones have totaled up 25 double-doubles this season.
OKLAHOMA
Iowa State last met Oklahoma on Oct. 15, where the Cyclones came home with the four-set win. Since last meeting OU, the Sooners have went 4-4 and close out their Big 12 schedule this Saturday against TCU. Oklahoma currently sits at sixth in the Big 12 standings.
The Cyclones and Sooners will meet for the 89th time tomorrow. OU holds a narrow edge in the all-time series at 45-43. While at Hilton, ISU leads the series 23-16.
OU holds the fourth-highest service ace average (1.29 per set) and the fifth-highest hitting percentage (.215) through league matchups. Individually, Morgan Perkins is one of three in the conference to have a hitting percentage above .400 as her average of .434 ranks second.
