AMES, Iowa - Another big week awaits No. 9 Iowa State as the Cyclones start a crucial stretch of three games in seven days with a contest against the third-place team in the Big 12, Kansas, Wednesday at Allen Fieldhouse. The Cyclones continued to maintain their lead atop the Big 12 with an emphatic 89-67 win over No. 15 Oklahoma Saturday at Hilton Coliseum.

KEY STORYLINES
-The Cyclones lead the Big 12 with a 11-3 conference record, and can move to 12-3 in Big 12 play for the fifth time in program history on Wednesday night.
-ISU are 22-4 overall for the second time in program history, and can become the first team in Iowa State history to reach 23 wins in just 27 games.
-This season marks the ninth time Iowa State has won at least 22 games in the regular season (prior to conference tournament). All nine have come under the guidance of head coach Bill Fennelly.
-With a win on Wednesday, Iowa State would match its regular season record for most wins, having previously won 23 regular season contests in 1997-98, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2018-19.
-Iowa State made 16 3-pointers on Saturday, including three from Ashley Joens, who led ISU with 28 points and nine rebounds against the Sooners.
-Joens became Iowa State's all-time leading scorer at Texas (Feb. 16), surpassing Angie Welle's previous record of 2,149 points. She enters Wednesday's contest with 2,184 career points.
-With 25 more points, Joens can enter the Big 12's all-time top-10 for career points (10th place: Kalani Brown, Baylor, 2,209).
-With 12 more rebounds, Joens can become the fourth player in Iowa State history to reach 1,000 career rebounds.
-Emily Ryan had 15 points and nine assists vs. the Sooners. Ryan leads the Big 12 and ranks third nationally with 7.0 assists per game.
-Lexi Donarski shut down one of the Big 12's best shooters in OU's Taylor Robertson on Saturday, holding the Sooners' leading scorer to five points and only four field goal attempts.
LAST TIME OUT
-No. 6 Iowa State emphatically returned to the win column with an 89-67 victory over No. 15 Oklahoma on Saturday at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones fired 16 3-pointers in the contest.
-In her first home game since becoming ISU's all-time leading scorer, Ashley Joens led Iowa State with 28 points and nine rebounds, her 11th 20-point effort of the season.
-Emily Ryan recorded 15 points and nine assists. She now has 183 assists on the season, ranking eighth in ISU single-season history.
-Aubrey Joens came off the bench to fire in four 3-pointers for 12 points, her first game in double figures since Kansas on Jan. 26.
