Preview: Iowa State Closes Home Schedule Wednesday

AMES, Iowa - Riding a four-game winning Big 12 winning streak, its first since 2016-17, Iowa State closes the home schedule Wednesday night against Oklahoma State. ISU has reached 20 wins for the first time since 2018-19 and 19th time in school history.

KEY STORYLINES
- Iowa State improved to 20-9 overall with a win at Kansas State Saturday... ISU is +18 in the win column this season compared to last, the best turnaround in school and Big 12 history and the best-ever by a team led by a first-year head coach ... the next win would match the national record (Murray State, 1980; Ohio State, 1999).
- Ahead of Wednesday's game, Iowa State will recognize seniors Carter Boothe, Izaiah Brockington, George Conditt, Gabe Kalscheur and Aljaz Kunc.
- Iowa State has nine Quad 1 victories this season, one of just three teams that can claim that many.
- Izaiah Brockington earned his sixth weekly honor of the season and second-consecutive from the Big 12 after being named player of the week ... LAST TIME OUT
- Iowa State picked up another big road win Saturday, defeating K-State, 74-73, at Bramlage Coliseum ... the Cyclones led by as many as 15 points in the second half but the Wildcats made a quick comeback that threatened to steal the win ... in the end, Jaden Walker made a key defensive steal on Nijel Pack with less than 10 seconds remaining that proved to preserve the win ... Caleb Grill was on fire in his return to Kansas, making 6-of-10 3-pointers and finishing with a team-high 18 points ... Hunter posted his first career double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 assists with just two turnovers ... Brockington had 17 points in the win ... ISU hit 10-of-25 3-pointers, its second-straight game with at least 10 3-pointers ... as a team, ISU assisted on 19 of 23 field goals.

ISU VERSUS OKLAHOMA STATE
- In one of the most even series in Iowa State history among longtime opponents, the Cyclones and Cowboys meet for the 137th time ... the Cowboys hold a 69-67 edge in the series.
- Iowa State leads 41-16 in games played in Ames, including 29-13 in games at Hilton Coliseum.
- The first meeting this season resulted in an 84-81 overtime win for the Cyclones in Stillwater, snapping ISU's 24-game road Big 12 losing streak ... Brockington led the Cyclones with 26 points (11-20 FG), while Hunter added 18 points ... Caleb Grill (15) and George Conditt (10) combined for 25 points off the bench ... ISU hit 12 3-pointers in the win.
