Iowa State Closes Regular Season At West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - No. 8 Iowa State takes on West Virginia on Saturday, March 5 in Morgantown, W. Va. in the final game of the regular season. Iowa State looks to set a program record for Big 12 wins in a season with a win on Saturday. Iowa State recently matched its program record for conference wins in a season with 13 (1999-00 and 2018-19).

Against Texas Tech, Iowa State set a program record with its 24th regular season win. Iowa State is looking for its 25th win of the season on Saturday, a feat the Cyclones have achieved eight times in school history, all under head coach Bill Fennelly.
Iowa State could still clinch a share of the Big 12 regular season title with a win on Saturday and a loss by Baylor on Sunday. ISU could lock in the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Championship with a win on Saturday.
ISU has 304 treys on the season, setting a new single-season program record (303, 2018-19).
Along with the barrage of 3-pointers, Iowa State is one of the most efficient 3-point shooting teams in the nation, ranking third in the country with a 38.8 percent 3-point shooting percentage.
Joens became Iowa State's all-time leading scorer at Texas (Feb. 16), surpassing Angie Welle's previous record of 2,149 points. She enters Saturday's contest with 2,249 career points.
Joens now ranks ninth in the Big 12 record books, recently passing Kansas State's Nicole Ohlde (9th place, 2,241)with 2,249 points.
Joens recently became the fourth player in ISU history to reach 1,000 career rebounds. She currently has 1,011 boards.
Emily Ryan is third in the country with 7.2 assists per contest, dishing out at least 10 six times this season.
Ryan has 209 assists on the season, which ranks fifth all-time on ISU's single season charts. She sits just behind Nikki Moody (211, 2015) in fourth and Lyndsey Medders (215, 2006 & 216, 2007).
Iowa State checked in as the No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA's latest reveal. The Cyclones earned the No. 2 seed in the Bridgeport Regional.

Iowa State fell to No. 5 Baylor on Senior Night, 82-67. The Cyclones struggled offensively, shooting 35.7 percent from the floor and could not contain Baylor's NaLyssa Smith. Smith finished with 28 points and 20 rebounds as Baylor clinched at least a share of the regular season title.
